How to apply tape-in hair extensions
Having long hair has never been so easy! With our tape-in extensions, you can create a beautiful head of hair in 5 steps.
Simply use the sandwich method. This means you separate a section of hair that should be about as thick as the extensions strand, and attach one tape strand from above and one from below. Always make sure that the upper and lower strands are the same distance from the scalp.
To make sure your extensions hold securely, it is best to use our mini flat iron, which is perfectly suited to attaching our tape-ins.
Especially the first time, you may find it difficult to attach the extensions correctly at the back of your head. This simply takes a little practice. In that case, it is best to ask a hairdresser you trust or a skilled friend for help.
TAPE-IN EXTENSIONS – A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
STEP 1
Use a comb to part off the top section of your hair and pin it up so that it doesn't get in the way in the next step.
STEP 2
Take a strand from your tape-in extension set and stick it onto the top of your sectioned natural hair. The distance from the scalp should be about 2 mm. Here, and with the lower strand, make sure you only stick the tapes to the hair directly next to them.
STEP 3
Take another strand and stick it onto the underside of your natural hair section. Again, the distance from the scalp should be about 2 mm to get an even result. Then let down the pinned-up hair.
STEP 4
Using the method from steps 1 to 3, work your way up the back of your head from bottom to top first, then attach the tape-in extensions at the sides.
STEP 5
Place no more than 2 rows of hair between the sandwiches, ideally only one. Don't attach the tapes too close to the scalp either, as this affects how well they hold. A distance of around 5 mm is best. Then lightly seal them with the flat iron at a high temperature.
