WHAT DOES REMY HAIR OR REMI HAIR MEAN?

Remy or Remi means that the hair has an intact cuticle layer and has been hand-sorted to the same length. This means it can be styled however you like, and heat is not a problem.

WHAT TYPES OF EXTENSIONS ARE THERE?

At Rubin Extensions, we offer Clip-in Extensions, Tape-in Extensions, Flip-in Extensions that are held in your natural hair with an invisible wire, individual Hair Strands / Keratin Bondings, Microring Extensions, Ponytail Extensions and Fringe Extensions. HOW MUCH DO HAIR EXTENSIONS COST?

The price of extensions usually depends on several factors. The quality of the hair extensions and the origin of the hair are key, of course. The structure of the human hair should be as healthy as possible, with an intact cuticle layer. The amount and weight of the hair also matter. Fewer extensions (less weight) cost less, but they also look less convincing. Finally, length matters too: long hair naturally costs more than short hair.

CAN OTHER PEOPLE TELL THAT I'M WEARING HAIR EXTENSIONS?

If the extensions are good quality and have been applied correctly, no one will be able to tell that you've had a little help. To keep it that way, care for your extensions properly and have them renewed after a while, or moved up once your natural hair has grown.

WILL APPLYING EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY OWN HAIR?

Today, extensions are applied gently and don't harm your natural hair, as long as you use the right care products. There are several methods for attaching extensions to your hair. The gentlest permanent method is Microrings. Removable extensions such as Clip-ins or Flip-ins won't damage your hair either.

WHICH HAIRSTYLES CAN I WEAR WITH EXTENSIONS? ARE THERE ANY I CAN'T DO ANYMORE?

In principle, all hairstyles are possible with extensions. If a bond does peek out, you can easily hide it with a strand of hair, so ponytails, braids and buns are all possible without giving away the secret of your long hair. Many hairstylists even turn to extensions for updos at special occasions.

CAN EXTENSIONS FALL OUT ON THEIR OWN?

If your extensions were applied by a professional, they shouldn't fall out on their own. However, if the sections of natural hair used to attach them were too thick, the extensions may, in the worst case, fall out. So always make sure the sections are the right thickness before applying your extensions.

HOW LONG DOES MY OWN HAIR NEED TO BE FOR EXTENSIONS?

Your hair should be at least 7 cm long so the extensions hold properly and stay hidden.

CAN I REMOVE THE EXTENSIONS MYSELF?

Yes, you can, even if the extensions were applied by a hairstylist. With a Tape Remover or Extensions Remover, bonds come out easily.

CAN I COLOR THE EXTENSIONS?

In principle, yes. However, we don't recommend it, as the hair has already been depigmented and is difficult to lighten. Only use gentle, ammonia-free products. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the results. Because it is 100% human hair, every batch behaves a little differently, just like everyone's own hair.

IS THIS INDIAN, EUROPEAN OR CHINESE HAIR?

We continually refine our quality and combine Indian and European hair types. About 80% of our hair wefts come from India. We deliberately do not use Chinese hair.

HOW MUCH HAIR / HOW MANY WEFTS DO I NEED?

That depends on your current volume and your own hair structure, but 1–2 sets should be enough. With the Deluxe Line, one pack is enough for very long hair with lots of volume.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY EXTENSIONS?

Because they are made of human hair, extensions care is very important. Please follow our care instructions and take a look at the Rubin hair care line.

HOW LONG CAN I USE / WEAR THE EXTENSIONS?

With good care, the extensions can be worn for 4–6 months.

CAN I SWIM, BATHE OR GO TO THE SAUNA WITH THEM?

In principle, you can do anything with this hair, but it's important to protect it well. Just be careful with chlorinated or salt water, as it can change the hair structure. Clip-in Extensions, however, are not suitable for swimming, sports or the sauna and should be removed beforehand.

HOW MANY TAPE-IN EXTENSIONS DO I NEED?

• 5 to 10 strands for color effects and highlights
• 15 to 20 strands for volume / hair thickening
• 30 to 40 strands for full hair extensions

The distance to the roots should always stay the same (about 1–2 mm). When applying the tapes, it's very important to first attach only the hair directly next to the tape on the top side. The underside must be attached at the same distance from the roots (symmetrically), again only to the adjacent hair. For a precise result, it's best to ask a friend to help you.
